In NC, we service Durham, Chapel Hill, and Greensboro.

If you are unsure if we service your area, please send us a message.

Do you take last minute bookings?

Please message about last minute bookings. It can be hard to fit in last minute requests, but we will make all efforts to accommodate these bookings.

How many dogs can you walk at once?

We only walk dogs from one household at a time. That way your dog(s) will get plenty of attention and will not get overwhelmed with unfamiliar dogs. If, however, you and a friend or family member have dogs that know each other and you would like them to be walked together, then they can definitely be walked at the same time.

Do you have experience with rare or exotic pets?

We have experience with many types of pets. Janet grew up taking care of birds, and is a proud rabbit owner. We have cared for ferrets, goats, chickens, and ducks for clients before.

My pet needs to go to the vet. Will you take them?

In the case of an emergency while your pet is in our care, we will take your pet to the vet immediately. All efforts will be made to contact the owners of the pet in the case of any necessary vet visit. All sitters are certified in pet first aid and CPR, so in the case of an emergency that requires those services we will be ready to act. If your pet requires a routine vet visit and you would like someone to take the pet in your stead, we are more than happy to do so.

Are you able to administer medication?

All sitters are trained in administering oral and injected medication.

How does your insurance work?

In the case of an emergency that leads to your pet needing to go to the vet, our pet care insurance will reimburse all vet costs. It also covers any damages that may happen in your home. We are bonded as well.

Do you charge any fees?

We do charge for additional pets for all services. We also charge extra over major holidays and on weekends as they are high in demand.

During an overnight pet sit, how much time will you spend with my pet?

During a normal overnight stay, we will guarantee 7pm-7am with your pets along with a drop in visit mid day.  During an extended overnight stay, we will guarantee 5pm-10am with your pets along with a drop in visit mid day. More time will be spent with your pets depending on the sitter's availability. A premium overnight stay is a 24 hour service where the sitter is gone no longer than 4 hours total.

What is your cancellation policy?

Fur Friends Pet Care has a strict cancellation policy when it comes to Overnight Sitting. Any sittings canceled a week or less before the sit will result in a 50% refund. Sittings canceled with more than a week's notice will be granted full refunds.

For dog walks and drop in visits, please cancel at least 24 hours prior to the booking. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a 50% refund. Cancellations with 24 hours or more notice will receive a full refund.

I understand that life can throw curveballs. I will review all requested cancellations and make exceptions to the policy when possible.
